Even a small defective plug or adapter can make the tour very difficult, which is why I go through all possible scenarios over and over again before the tour. What if the charger for one of the various camera batteries is defective, if an adapter breaks or the solar panel no longer works? What is certain is that you won't find a solution for every possible problem, but it doesn't hurt to think about it before the tour.
Oft ist dann einfach Improvisation gefragt. Wie zum Beispiel auf meiner letzten Tour in den Himalaja, wo mir der einzige verfügbare Adapter für die Verbindung zwischen externem Hochleistungsakku ( auch Powerbank genannt ) und Solarpanel kaputt ging, quasi ein Super-GAU. War es doch so nicht mehr möglich die Powerbank aufzuladen und da diese die verschiedenen Ausgangsspannungen für die diversen technischen Geräte zur Verfügung stellte, war ein elementarer Bestandteil meiner Ausrüstung nicht mehr funktionstüchtig. In solchen Fällen ist es von großem Vorteil, wenn man einen technischen Hintergrund oder zu mindestens eine technische Begabung besitzt. Ich konnte das Problem in wenigen Minuten lösen, indem ich den Adapter einfach abschnitt und die Kabelenden lose mit dem Adapter verband – nur ein Provisorium – aber alleine die wieder vorhandene Funktionalität zählte !
